PUBLIC NOTICE - 45/2005

Sub: Implementation of the new Centralized CHA Directory Regarding.

Attention of all the Importer, Exporters, CHAs and the Members of the Trade is invited to this Custom House Facility Notice No. 02/2006 dated 03.01.06 regarding implementation of PAN based CHA directories.

2. The new directories would be made effective from 15.07.2006 and from that date the CHA with not be able to use their current registration and will have to use their newly issued PAN based registrations.

3. It is further is informed that registration of CHAs in ICES, both in the new PAN based directory & the old ICES CHA directory, will be stopped w.e.f. 15^th July 2006. Hence, pending registration may be completed latest by 1700 Hrs on 14.07.2006. Amendment, if any should also be completed by this date. CHAs who have not yet got registered with the system have to approach the respective CHA / Policy Section with relevant documents.

4. All CHAs are hereby requested to submit it the necessary information for the preparation of PAN-based directories to the CHA Section, New Custom House, Mumbai, before the due date.

5. The contents of this notice may be brought to the notice of all the members of your association.
