Sub.: Clarification on Para 4 of Facility Notice No. 47 / 2006 dated 31.7.06.

Attention of Exporters / CHAs / Shipping Agents and other concerned is invited to the Public Notice No. 5/ 2004 dated 5.2.2004 and Standing Order No. 52 / 2004 dated 31.12.2004, 28/2006 dated 21.7.2006 and Facility Notice No. 47 / 2006 dated 31.7.06 regarding filing of EGM and its amendments.

1. Para 4. of the Standing Order No. 31/ 2006 dated 31.07.2006 had prescribed that the “Shipping Lines / CHAs/ Exporter should approach DC/ Dronagiri for correction of any errors in the EGM”. It is clarified that EGM amendments can be done by all ACs/DCs (Exports) posted in various CFSs except EGM amendments through forceful submission. The forceful submission of EGM will be carried out by the AC/DC designated for the purpose. At present DC / Dronagiri has been designated to carry out forceful submission of EGM.

2. All EGM amendments and forceful submissions should be done after proper verification and after following procedure laid down in Standing Orders mentioned above.

3. These instructions should be followed scrupulously and any deviation will be viewed seriously.
